A MAJOR FIRE HAS RAGED OUT OF CONTROL:

Firefighters are battling a blaze that has quickly spread out of control in the northwest/eastern/southern part of town. The fire, which started around midday, consumed several homes, and residents have been told to shelter in place. Witnesses report seeing towering bursts of smoke billowing into the sky.
